Privacy Notice (Draft)

We handle your information in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

What we collect

• All users: email address (for logging in; login codes and trip updates are sent here) and display name.
• Contact phone number: you fill this in yourself and we don't verify it. It's needed before you post or book a trip, and is only used so the driver and passenger can reach each other after a booking is confirmed.
• Drivers: name, last 4 characters of NRIC/FIN, car plate, car model, colour, and registered owner's name. Singapore's carpooling rules require the platform to keep these records.
• Trips and bookings: pickup and drop-off locations, times, seats, fares and reviews.

When you verify with Singpass (Myinfo)

• After you give consent on Singpass, we retrieve from Myinfo: your name, NRIC/FIN, the validity and class of your qualified driving licence, and the plate number, type, make, model, colour and status of cars registered to you.
• This information is first shown to you exactly as received for you to confirm. It is saved only after you tap “Confirm and save”; if you do not confirm, it is automatically discarded within 10 minutes.
• What we save: your name, the last 4 characters of your NRIC/FIN, your licence class and status, and the one car you choose to use for carpooling. Your full NRIC/FIN number is not saved.
• It is used for one purpose only: to verify that you can offer carpool trips as a driver, and to keep driver and car records as required by law.
• If you prefer not to use Singpass, you can fill in your details manually, but you will be shown as “Not verified”.

Who can see what

• Before a booking is confirmed: others see only the first character of your display name, your reviews, the car model and colour, and the “rough location” the driver wrote.
• After a booking is confirmed: the driver and that passenger can see each other's display name and contact phone number (or email address if no phone number was given); the passenger sees the exact pickup point and car plate.
• Only platform admins can see a driver's name and the last 4 characters of their ID, for regulatory records and handling complaints.

How long we keep data, and contacting us

To meet regulatory record-keeping requirements, driver and car records are kept for a period even after an account is deactivated. To access or correct your information, please contact us.
